For the people who've earned this moment
You've spent thirty years
building this.
Now comes the next part —
making it work for the rest of your life.
Here's what we hear most often from people in your position — and how we help.
What we hear most
Does this sound familiar?
You're not alone. We help pre-retirees and retirees work through these every day.
- 1
Income
You've saved diligently, but you're not sure how to turn it into a paycheck that lasts 30 years or more.
- 2
Investments
You're concerned that one difficult market year could undo what took decades to build.
- 3
Taxes
You want to keep more of what you've saved, but don't know the best strategy to reduce unnecessary taxes.
- 4
Healthcare
You're unsure how best to coordinate Medicare and long-term care with the rest of your retirement plan.
- 5
Legacy
You want to know your spouse and family will be looked after, whatever happens.
Our standard
Beyond the fiduciary standard.
Fiduciary is where our obligation begins, not where it ends. We deliver a plan, a process, and a relationship built for Phase 2.
We don't believe in guesswork.
We believe in intentional planning.
We don't chase trends.
We create strategies built to last.
We don't push products.
We give every dollar a clear job.
Our methodology
The Retire FWRD Process™
Every plan we build follows the same three stages, coordinating income, investments, taxes, healthcare, and legacy as one strategy — and adapting it as life evolves.
- Plan FWRD
- Move FWRD
- Live FWRD

“A retirement plan should be built with intention. My job is to make sure the plan is worthy of the work.”
J.P. Aubry is the founder of FWRD Financial, a modern retirement planning firm built for successful savers entering Phase 2 — the transition from accumulating wealth to using, protecting, and coordinating it throughout retirement.
After years with national brokerage firms, J.P. chose to go independent — so the advice his clients receive is free from corporate sales goals and built entirely around the life they want to live.
J.P. believes retirement changes the job your money needs to do. The strategies that helped build wealth during the accumulation years are not necessarily the same strategies needed to create income, manage risk, reduce unnecessary taxes, and support the life that wealth was ultimately built for. His work is centered on helping clients make that transition with greater clarity, confidence, and intention.
Through The Retire FWRD Process™, J.P. coordinates the five planning worlds that shape retirement: Income, Investments, Taxes, Healthcare, and Legacy. Rather than treating those decisions as separate conversations, FWRD brings them together around one retirement plan — so each part of a client's financial life is working toward the same future.
His approach is personal, education-driven, and designed to make complex decisions easier to understand. Clients should know what they own, why they own it, what job each part of their money is performing, and how the pieces work together as life and markets change.
Licensed in life and health insurance and registered as an Investment Adviser Representative, J.P. leads retirement income and investment strategy while coordinating tax, estate, Medicare, and long-term-care planning as part of the broader relationship.
Outside of FWRD, J.P. maintains the same commitment to discipline and continuous improvement through fitness, soccer, and community service.
FWRD Financial is built around a simple idea: retirement isn't a single moment — it's the rest of your life. And the plan for what comes next should be just as intentional as the years it took to get there.
